PeeMarc 1 Posted July 21, 2009 Report Share A crush is generally what children and teenagers have.... and they think its love.... but its just a very immature kind of Love... or rather adoration. Quote Link to comment
digitalcat 0 Posted July 21, 2009 Report Share crush is u think he/she is cute love is a bit deeper Quote Link to comment
petey 0 Posted July 21, 2009 Report Share A crush is thinking he's "cute", "nice", I really want to talk with him, etc. Love is feeling complete when you are with the person, looking forward to spending your time with them, enjoying sharing with them, needing them in your life, etc. It is dangerously close to an Obsession and can easily be confused with other emotions. PeeMarc 1 Posted July 21, 2009 Report Share another way to look at the difference is that Love can survive though even the worst of times. But it doesnt take much to kill a crush. Quote Link to comment
Mister Moobs 2 Posted July 21, 2009 Report Share Limerence refers to an involuntary cognitive and emotional state of intense romantic desire for another person. The term was coined by psychologist Dorothy Tennov to describe the ultimate, near-obsessional form of romantic love.[1] The concept is an attempt at a scientific study into the nature of romantic love. Limerence can often be what is meant when one expresses having intense feelings of attachment and preoccupations with the love object. According to Tennov, there are at least two types of love: limerence, what she calls "loving attachment", and "loving affection," the bond that exists between an individual and his or her parents and children.[2] Limerence is characterized by intrusive thinking and pronounced sensitivity to external events that reflect the disposition of the limerent object towards the individual. It can be experienced as intense joy or as extreme despair, depending on whether the feelings are reciprocated. Unlike English, many other languages have traditional terms to denote limerence, like the German Verliebtheit, Scandinavian forelskelse, Brazilian Portuguese paixonite, Spanish enamoramiento, Catalan enamorament or Russian влюблённость (vlyublyonnost); these expressions may roughly be translated to ?fallen-in-love-ness?. from wiki (lest Iain dime me out for plagiiarism...lol) Quote Link to comment

condotown 1 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Share For males, they (crush/love) are one and the same.... Just a feeling that they wanna have sex with the gal, so they tell themselves they love that person.. because society keeps trying to teach/brainwash them that they need love to have sex. For females the distinction is clearer... Crush means that they think it can lead to something (relationship/sex) but fear rejection so they may never find out.... Love means they anticipate it will lead to something or they already think they caught the guy..... For shy or wimpy or indoctrinated or overly emotional chemically imbalanced males... the distinction between crush and love may be the same as for females. Quote Link to comment
cool_A 1 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Share Shortyg >> Crush is what I do to my enermies. Love is a word men use to get women in to bed. Not necessary to be in bed... on a dining table is not too bad too ;') Quote Link to comment

Sukhumvit_Farang 0 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Share I would say that a crush is a feeling for someone you don't really know that well. You see them - and PING - you feel something. But it can't really be love - yet - because you really don't know them - yet. It might or might not later turn into love. Usually not, though. It is more common amongst children and teenagers, but it sometimes still happens to old farts like myself - especially here in Thailand. Quote Link to comment

Mister Moobs 2 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Share To have never been in love or to have a crush is to miss out on life's greater adventures. For many men, Love is not a necessary component for sex. For many women, sex and love are inseparable. I agree with Condotown in so far as this is a learned behavior. Especially in the west. I have loved women with whom I have never had sex and I have had sex with women with whom I did not share love. Even so, it seems that each time I have had sex with a woman in my life, I have left a part of myself with them. Perhaps, that is a kind of love. I don't know. I do feel that love or being in love with someone is an excellent feeling. My opinion strictly here. Life is not fully lived without love. Quote Link to comment
