ok ok...maybe hit the north...it's quite beautiful during the rainy season if you don't mind "roughing it." Hit the hills of Chiang Mai...gorgeous green mountains...friendly faces and fresh air.

Even the islands aren't that bad during rainy season...just depends on who you are with
