I had been busy for a month ,I did not update my lesson yet but I will do it this week >_<. Next lesson will be " Thai beliefs toward pregnancy women and getting pregnant .This lesson is preparing for my personal reason A. 2 farang friends going to have babies B. my close friend get pregnant.

for emails asking why I did not online

after 3 months waiting for reviewers replied ,my research paper was rejected. I knew It would be rejected as I sent to very high Impact factor journal . I did this because I wanted comments (It is usual that they reject 80% of papers) thank you for Rob, Bob ,Russ and Ian for help. I am now working on the reviewers' comments. Then it will take another 3-6 months to know if they publish or reject my paper. So sad !! I told everyone I know to do not do PhD in Thailand if someone want to do PhD in Thailand ,go to universities which not ask for international journal.

I'm going to look at all your lessons - I'm studying Thai writing now.... and it's crazy!!!

Why on earth does mai eek make siang toh with low class consonants? And mai toh makes siang trii? Why's that? Why not use the right tone marks?

And why does no tone mark mean siang jattawa for high class consonants? Why not use mai jattawa?

Do you think this is why Thai people don't like reading?

I asked my Thai staff (and a Thai TF member) to check my homework... they all said it was right... and they were wrong!!!

English_Bob: learning thai is very easy NAKA , you may ask your teacher to teach you in the right way ,I think your teacher expect too much from farrang KA

I think thais who can not speak ,read and write thai they just do not pay that much attention KA

Making tone just like you sing KA .... if the tone right there you have to say it up high when you put WANNAYUK (eak ,toh,three,jattava)

lol - I got lots of PMs giving advice and offering to be my teacher...

Pronunciation is OK... but the rules are not in my brain yet.

The teacher is doing what I want... I REALLY want to know the structure of the language so I can learn new words by reading them myself.

The school is AAA behind Central Chidlom - their system is very thorough... teaching slowly and reminding the old stuff again and again.

It's a bit like being at primary school again, but it's better than previous schools and teachers who didn't know their own language properly.

I am afraid of learning too much from your next lesson :-)

My biggest problem in learning Thai is my teacher tends to teach commando style. She dumps tons of new information on your in each class and you're expected to have it all memorized without any review by the next lesson so she can move on and throw a bunch of new material at you. If at any point you start to fall behind she gets very angry and threatens to kill you for not understanding :-)

Am so sorry---sometimes rejection about something that you write becomes very personnal. Keep trying.
