Always feel sad coming back from Thailand

I know alot of you are staying here permantly, and you ofcourse dont experience the pain as frequent as the rest of us, but for the people who visits the country and goes back from time to time, i think ive havent spoken to a person yet, that doesnt express the same feeling about leaving Thailand, "awww faaaa*ck".Teddy wrote a journal entry yesterday:http://www.thailandfriends.com/index.php?name=Journal&view=journal&juid=9073&jid=69725Which got me thinking quite abit. Im just a tourist still in thailand, i know nothing, but even with my limited experiences and trips to thailand, the feeling when you are leaving this place cannot be compared to any other place in the world, and ive been travelling alot.Ive been trying to spot what is it that makes me have this thing with Thailand, and im pretty sure it is the smiles allover, its like a secret vitamine that is not that widespread everywhere, big smiles from strangers here is pretty uncommon so i suspect this is my achillesheel when it comes to thailand.Ofcourse there is the food that is outstanding, thailand has the most pretty women in the world (in my opinion) and the buzzing world of something very different from home, but i really think the smiles and friendlyness that pins it for me, that is very different from what i experience anywhere else, also when it comes to SE asia. But ive been home like 3 days now, i had almost a month in indonesia, singapore & vietnam, and 2 days in thailand, but still thailand is the place that hits me right in the middle of the eyes - and ive still got this numb feeling that i get everytime i come home from there to here, nothing seems right here compared to there. Its like im here physical, but i know im in the wrong place. And its not about my stay at Nana of all places, as ive stated before, i could stay in BKK airport for 2 days, and i would still get the same shot of vitamine, and i think i would still miss it.The strange thing about is, im going back soon, and i had hoped that it somehow became something you got used to, but it seems to me its getting worse and worse for everytime, its abit of selftorturing taking that trip.I know there must be alot of you having the same feelings out there, share some experiences and even better share some opinons on coping, some of you must be experts in this :) also you might have some inputs on what is it that makes this place so very different.

Very well put, for me its not just the place but the people that I really, met some people off of TF, they were cool. My way of coping is to try and find a way to get to stay out there for a longer time. Its a tough battle, but it keeps the mind busy.

Admin (thats you right?) you always lived in BKK ? but yeah im back soon, and within a short time im able to spend alot of weekends in BKK, that makes me keep up

MJD> thats also my goal, realistic 3-4 years that could be a possibility, but who knows. Then no more whining from me.

Teddy> yeah the mindthing going on thats the same here, numerous banks have been robbed in my sleep ! but yes its a good way to cope with it. Youre IT ? why dont we do something together and base our office in BKK like ... from this friday ?

SoBeIt> thanks alot for your support, im already here and its freezing, i had almost 1 meter of snow in front of my house when i got back home, and a can feel a cold already sneaking up on me !

I think many of us here have experienced this feeling as well before thats why some of them are here as a main country but in 3 months you could be here again, right? ^_____^
