wooo!

i guess many to most of you have seen or played 'EYE-TOY' before.

if not, then here is some basic info...

eye-toy is PS2 game that's developed by a company named LONDON Studio.

asides from the brit famous tomb raider, eye-toy is another brit game that is intrinsically iinteresting. it's not the game that is in intersting but the technique, the upcoming effect and the further development instead that thrilled me.

this is the very first time that i clearly see the potential of having posthumans in the near future. altho the eye-toy at this step is considered a baby step but bringing human onto the screen and directly interacts with the game on the screen, plus providing reality-like effects according to human's interactivity is a very good start.

i don't see this game as a good game, i don't appreciate the game itself but i do appreciate the technologies, the developer, the ideas, the concepts and the way in which this game is going to generate other ideas and development and influent other things including the potential of shifting human behaviour in the long run, especially in relation to computer or any kind of interfaces that may occur.

impressive!

a few centuries ago the field of play for evolution with our species switched from our physical bodies to culture... what is interesting about this is that we as a species have some say in which direction we go...

Give me Jetpac or Manic Miner and Chuckie Egg on the old ZX Spectrum - now they're what you call real addictive games.... I killed most of my 'social childhood' with those games.

Who needs special effects or fancy technology, when you have the most important aspect - pure playability!

[in fact my gf has an emulated version of Chuckie Egg for her pc - its awesome!]
