Back in Norway
Hi, ya'll! First of all, congratulations on the TF re-design. Good job! I've seen pictures from the party you guys had, and I really wish I was there too. So it's already been more then a month since I left Japan, at it feels pretty darn good to be home - despite the cold and the snow. I'm almost embarassed to say that what I've missed the most is Norwegian food stores, clothing stores and tv-channels. And work. Not very sophisticated, I know.I'm finally back at my beloved university in Oslo, and I'm working on finishing my second year. I was planning on returning to Japan in September to stay there for a year, and get the chance to further work on my (pretty poor) language skills, but I've changed my mind. It's not a necessary part of my degree, anyway. Besides, I don't think I like Japan that much. I don't know yet what I will do next year. I have to study yet another language to wrap up my bachelor's degree. If I stay in Norway I'll probably study Chinese, or something, but I really want to return to Thailand and do Intensive Thai Studies at Chulalongkorn. I don't know if I can pull it off yet. It depends on if I'll be able to recieve a student loan from the Norwegian government. Anyway, a few pictures from the past weeks
The view from my childhood bedroom
My first night back in Norway
I stayed at my momma's house
And she was pretty happy to see me
And I've moved into a small apartment
in Oslo
which is far nicer than my old place
And the studies continue
(It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye)
There's nothing fun to photograph in this country. Everything is white and all of the kids are dressed like eskimos. Hmpf.
Oh, well
