Prenuptial Agreement

I been watching the show about Thai lady, who is going to married with a rich guy and he will give her 42 millions baht at the time after their marriage  and have her prenuptial agreements not allow to touch any of his assets in any cases that may happen in the future

Agreed for prenuptial agreements are not death knell for romance. On the contrary, prenups are practical solutions to dealing with the problematic topic of finances in a marriage

But the sense of getting married are those materials matter to you more than whom you growing old with?

Just curious

a pre nup depends on the situation - if the partner (male or female) works within the business and helps increase the total assets then they should be entitled to share of profits. Similarly if he (or she) gives up career to be a home maker and a parent, then this should be recognised as it is as important a job as anything else.

ask that question in 20 years when you're sick of the sight of the guy you now hate as you watch the lawyers get paid half the value of your house during the endless arguments over who should get what

since love is a chemical reaction that wears off in a few years.a prenup is a must to protect your ass.after 2 years you either like each other or hate each other. If they are in love why should a prenup matter. If it does cause a problem, then he/she is not for you

gone are the days where people stay married to someone for their lifetime.....pre nupts are being realistic about the life. I would do one unless the chick i marry is rich then it's all about the love................of money. :)

If a guy gets married and divorced 2 times, he ends up with 25% of his original wealth.

If a girl gets married and divorced 2 times, she ends up with the equivalent of 4 x the guys' wealth.

Exploring... if I raised the prenup issue with a girl and she didn't agree immediately, I'd dump her for good. If she loves me, she wants to marry me... not be planning on how to get money out of the relationship.

Your argument is that you want his money AFTER a divorce... my argument is I want to keep my assets I earned before we met...

I have a house, possessions, car, motorbike, savings, investments, pension... why should I gamble on losing 50% if we divorce? It might not even be MY fault.

Hmm, as a normal woman, if the guy raises this prenup issue, then I will think twice and dump him for good!

>>>> Seconded !
