Little Feet 17 - Happy Thanksgiving 2010

For some reason I keep on typing 2011 on everything lately. It's happened on different online forms and applications. Maybe I'm really looking forward to 2011, who knows?

Anyway, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. The only things that were missing were the rest of my family and friends who are scattered around the globe at the moment. I had a few nice moments with J and J since it was our first Thanksgiving as our own family. We decided to go with some good friends over to the Landmark Hotel's Atrium Restaurant, which is a nice place for this sort of occasion. They know how to put on international events as well as anyone else, and the service was fantastic.

All of that mumbo jumbo aside, it's so nice to get out with family and friends for something like this. It's refreshing in many ways, especially when we get tied down with work and all of the disgusting narcissism on FB (look at me, I'm a 160 cm tall wannabe model!). Like a horrible TV show, even I find myself sucked into it at times. Real life outside of work is hard to come by these days, which is sad. Most things in my life are work related, but I'm fortunate that I enjoy my work 90% of the time.

Thanksgiving is a time where you have to be thankful for all that you have. I am truly thankful for my loving family, awesome friends, and for all of the other wonderful things that surround me day in and day out. It really is an amazing life. For that I am thankful.

Here are some pics of this evening. I'm trying to record as much of the early years for Jasmine as possible without losing out on the actual moments. It's a tough balance as I tend to forget about one or the other. Anyway, here ya go:

Buy a better camera!! At first I wrote that as a joke but, seriously, if you want to record as many special moments with Jasmine as possible get a proper camera to do it. You'll thank yourself a million times over when you're looking back on the photos years from now.

You are a real family now. Holidays have a whole new meaning, and purpose. Your life together from now on should be recorded in the best possible quality you can afford. You will appreciate it when you happen upon those occasional shots you want to enlarge big, and hang on the wall. Having quality equipment can make the difference between fantastic wall art, or a refrigerator magnet.

Thanks for sharing:)
