I'm afraid that the world will not be better or safer because of Bin Laden's death. He was just the figurehead of all those evil spirited peopple. Well, he also contributed financially but there is still a lot of money flowing into the bombing business, sometimes even from sources that you really wouldn't expect. Al Qaida is not a centralized network, so the bad boys will continue - unfortunately.

Nevertheless, getting him was a good move although the circumstances of his death and burial are a bit mysterious.

I might have too different a view on this. My friend and I thought of 2 things when we heard of this.

1.If the Al-Qaeda goes crazy because Bin Laden was killed, will the world (esp the US) be a safer place? Bin Laden is dead, but the Al-Qaeda still exists. I am sure Bin Laden has more than one member with a brain.

2. The US might not generate as much from this war against terrorism anymore, that's why they come up with an excuse to call it off. Similar to Iraq, I do not think the US would be so interested in intervening the war, if there's no oil in Iraq. Same as Afghanistan, there should be quite a fair share that the US get from all the drugs, and weapons.

The cause of war is normally from greed, not justice. Name me one war that is purely done in the name of justice.

IMHO we didn't go into Iraq for its OIL... but yes the general security of the OIL in that region

I do think we will continue pursuing the "war on Terrorism" ...it is in our best interest ( Americans STILL, falsely think they cannot be vunerable to violence off shore) ...besides we have shown to generate our own homegrown madmen... Do not believe anything has been called off on Al-Qaeda, nor will it. Again the US is motivated to eliminate what is believed to be a real threat to itself.

I hope Al-qaeda does go crazy...( and what make anyone believe they have not been so since NYC, London, Spain--- we got the shoe bomber, the underwear bomber, the Times Square Bomber, the New years eve bomber, the subway bomber) if they do -- go crazy -- (with the obvious hope of failed attempts) maybe the "world" can more easily round up some more of these evil-doers!

BTW how much more crazy can they get??? How much more motivated can they be (we) are their eternal enemy ... gezzzz they are willing to kill themselve and inoccents all round them ...and there are the 70 virgins they are to recieve in the afterlife as a reward.
