Have you ever stayed in a haunted hotel? I did - about 4 years ago when my husband and I were vacationing in Bangkok. Before we settled into Bangkok we took a short trip for about 5-days in Phuket - southern Thailand. We arrived at the airport late in the evening at around 10.30pm. We were picked up by a hotel driver at the Phuket Airport and were driven through the dark and winding roads up to the mountains and arrived to a beautiful new resort hotel in Khao Lak area about 2 hours later. The hotel driver was very nice and friendly. When we got in the car we were very tired from the long flight and I saw my husband had closed his eyes and went sleep but I enjoyed talking in Thai with the driver. But after a while the storied became not enjoyable. At first he talked about how much Phuket has changed and then the conversation changed to turned to the Tsunami about a year before and how many people has were missing and died and how bad the Tsunami was? Ooohhh... this was beginning to freak me out! We about half way to Khao Lak and things around was so dark and at one time the driver turned to me and smiled and that made him looks more scarier and creepier! I tried to not thinking to much about anything until we arrived at the hotel.

The hotel we were stayed was very nice and new and we had a very enjoyable time relaxing around there. The hotel pool was topless style and it appeared that many of the guest were European and did not wear their bathing suit tops in and around the pool area. And some were naked sitting up on the balcony. Since we were far from anyone we knew my husband even asked me that if I want to remove my top but No way! Not me! I'm not going to do that in public! No thank you!

On very night we had a different experience; one night we ate at the hotel, another at a nearby local bar / restaurant and another night we went to a nearby town and walked around until we stopped at a cool looking bar. It didn't look busy't so we went in and ordered drinks. The bartender made some really good drinks and so my husband and started to talk with him about what it was like when the Tsunami hit while I was talked to some tourist that were there before us.

The bartender was showing a magazine with lot of rare really graphic photos around the time of the Tsunami and that tears were beginning to roll down from his eyes and over his cheeks. I told him that the tsunami was worst than he thought. When we went back to the hotel and we could not sleep until early morning.

We left Khao lak the next day spent a few nights in downtown Phuket before flying back to Bangkok. In Bangkok we stayed in an old hotel around Sukhumvit 22. I choose this hotel because It was artistic and in a traditional Thai style interior design with a nice but dim lit garden. The first night stayed we stayed was not quite like thought I would expect. When I was in the bathroom taking a shower and I felt someone as if someone was looking at me from the corners of the room and many times I turned to look but there was no one - really creepy I thought. We went sleep and everything seemed to be okay that night. The next day I went shopping while my husband stayed at the room relaxing but when I returned he told me that some strange things happened around the room we stayed.

He said that he saw and heard someone walk past out bedroom windows and thinking it was me returning he went to meet me at the door but there was no one there. He also told me that while in the bathroom he heard some tree branch or something scratching on the roof and then when he went outside to look there was no tree branch or anything nearby to make the sound. He tried to stay calm but the whole stay was getting stranger by the day. I told him maybe he shouldn't worry but deep down I was very worried!

That night I lay wide wake in bed for a long time as I could not sleep worrying about what my husband told me earlier that afternoon. At one time in the middle of the night I hear a clicking sound of a pen I remember left on the counter in the kitchen. OMG! I was sooo scared! I felt sweat was all over my body and the next thing I felt was someone touching my hair softly. At first I thought great my husband woke up but when I turned to looked at him I saw that he was sleeping and lying on his side with his back against me! Who then touched my hair? I didn't get any sleep until morning and when my husband woke up I told him that I needed to talk to the hotel manager or someone. I went out to the front desk and told the lady who was working in the reception that day about our experiences. I saw her face changing to pale shade and she told me that the hotel will move us to a new building and upgrade to a better room. In the new room we felt much better and we had a good time until we left Bangkok.

Sometime later I found out from a hotel maid that someone was killed in the same room we stayed in at first! Creepy Scary Huh!

Well, just one time in Jomtien, I got very cheap voucher to stay at that hotel, and we only one family who lived in the whole floor... I heard someone knocked my door, so I asked but no one answer. My dad n' mom were sitting in the room, they didn't hear anything. So I said 'Ok, might be another room'

Later that night I couldn't sleep, I felt like someone, crow over my head and tried to lay down on me... then I screamed out loud, my dad n' mom woke me up... so I went back to sleep, and it happened again. It was my creepy night. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
