Well, some of you might not agree, but I know that the majority of you will be happy with this. Music from the 70s up to music in the style of those days from the 180s up to the 2000's deriving from there.

If you have any contributions (and please, no Michael Jackson and other crap), please feel free to contribute!

My all time favorite Ian Andersson solo - from Bouree - but I would have liked the full song... Put more sense into the solo I think...

But here is the "real" Bouree :

When I was young and my fingers still smooth (not cramped up by keyboards) :D I was able to play the Bach version...

As for Your thread here, well I may be a little older but after 1980 - I think music got destroyed by electrons... I like the good ol style :D

I remember this one as one of the first songs I had on my Phillips Cassette :

But I am a great fan of Bob Dylan too, often he don't interpret Bob Dylan the best :D recently (Amnesty International 50 years "birthday") a lot of artist gave their version of Dylan songs, and I really like this one, from that that record :

Do you know the "real" Bouree by Jon Lord (from Sarabande, 1976)? Great that a Hard Rock musician also is indulging in classical music...well, he composed the famous "Concerto for Group and Orchestra" first performed in Royal Albert Hall with the London Symphonic Orchestra in 1971 (if I'm not mistaken). And I had the great privilege to hear it in Vienna in 1998, performed by the same guys and having Ronnie James Dio with them.

But still - do you know what all three members of ZZ Top have in common (except for being in the same band)???

Ooh, ooh, are they all twats?

Ok, ok. All their songs are the same tune with different words.

I think quite a few of those good ol rockers were classical dropouts...

When I am working, I normally is :D I listen to very hard rock, Rammstein, Metalica, Iron Maiden and those guys... Recently I stumbled up on a band I didn't even knew existed (I have the cutest young girl friend (unfortunately not girlfriend) who got me interested in this band) - if You do not know them - say hello to X-Japan...

This one I like to listen to, I haven't got a clue about the lyrics - even partly english :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH-dWu0e13k - from 1997 "Last live" sadly a few month later the guitarist Hide killed himself by accident...

But here is a new version of the band, some (critics) say more commercial : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hi6R1tVGk60

enjoy :)

If I had a bank account thick as they have, I would not mind being called a **** :)

I was working part-time at The Grapes in Stafford when "Legs", "Sharp Dressed Man" and that other one with the same tune but different words came out.

Unfortunately it also coincided with video jukeboxes.

"She's got legs..... She knows how to use them......."

Cheers, but I still haven't gotten round to listening to Bat for Lashes I recently downloaded...

Accidentally kill yourself? Is that even possible?

"Yes officer, he accidentally put the gun to his own head and quite accidentally pulled the trigger. Just one of those freaky accidents."

Yes but when they originally formed, it was only Frank Beard who had a beard. Then when they reformed, the other 2 had beards and Frank didn't.

:D
