Airport Train.

I used that airport train for the first time this morning. Its pretty cool. Well, it was for me, travelling with no luggage.

I must admit, I wouldn't like to be lugging heavy bags up and down those stairs. Probably why it seems to be used more by commuters than tourists.

Flew in from Samui to do some shopping, and thought that I would give it a try.

Landed 10:35, and was in MBK by 11:35.

Took the line to Phaya Thai, then changed. Did MBK, Pantip and Central World.

Coming back went from Ratchaprarop about 4 ish, giving plenty of time for my 17:30 flight back. 40 or 45THB each way. Can't remember which.

I love the express train though, more expensive but only 15 - 17 mins from town to the airport. I seem to remember taking escalator up and down the platform at Ratchaprarop station though. You might want to ask the staff where it is.

I would have taken that one to Makkasan, but there was a 40 min wait according to the guy in the ticket booth, so I took the other line. Might try it when I fly back this weekend.
