Well, My mother is back in the hospital, 5th time this year so far. She has had 3 Angioplasty procedures, for major occlusions in the arteries of her heart. This time, it looks like it's bypass surgery time, and although the success rate of these surgeries is generally high, its hard for her to go through these procedures, and to hope that they finally have things under control and then find out that she has more chest pain, more occlusions that the doctors have missed, and more surgeries to come. I am really worried for her, and just writing about this to diffuse the pain somehow. Thanks for listening - J

I understand completely. My Mom had part of her lung removed last year. These are very very tough things. Mostly so for them, but us, their children, also. I'll never forget how devastated I was when my brother e-mailed me say she had lung cancer. I just broke down. But she is doing okay now. Although there is no guarantee for the future.

I sincerely hope your Mom will be okay and get through the operation as best as possible.

Hang in there. We'll pray for you and her. And keep us posted on how she's dong.

My father underwent that type of surgery 15 years ago, 5 by-passes at 62, and his new "plumbing" is doing just fine.

I sincerely wish for her and your family that everything goes perfectly well.

Good luck to you all.
