Amazing how people say the England goalie screwed up and lost the match for England. Strange, in a 1-1 tie you could argue the same about the US goalie. That the US goalie screwed up and lost the match for the US. Either that or England really sucked and couldn't even beat the US...

England's squad is an amazing collection of choke artists and cry babies. They couldn't even beat the USA's 7th tier athletes. The best athletes in the USA play American football, basketball, baseball, hockey, fight in MMA or are in track and field. The overrated Brits can't even beat us at their country's favorite sport! I guess it makes sense as to why the Premier League is dominated by foreign players.

But....then again it WAS a goalie screw up that cost England the win.

The US goalie hardly even saw the ball when Gerrard hammered it in.

I do wish people, such as mediumballer, would shut the **** up when they don't have a clue what they are talking about!! 7th tier athletes??? My ass! Obviously baseball, gay rugby and basketball are bigger sports in the States but football is still big (and growing).

There are different levels of athleticism for different sports and often class and background plays a part in those choices. But to make a sweeping statement that being in a 'bigger' sport makes you a better athletes shows your own personal level of stupidity!

And people should remember; USA are currently ranked 14th in the world, so giving ENGLAND (just a note for mb's ignorant 'Brits' comment) a run for their money is not that surprising.

England have a few world class players, but also a good few making up the numbers, not to mention possibly the worst 3 goalkeepers they have ever had for a major tournament!!

i just wish that they take off their pants when the make the goal. then i'll be #1 fan.
