My roommate just arrived last night after a week in Thailand and he shared with me his experience of the Songkran festival. I've heard about it from many THai people but the first time to hear it from a buddy. It truely sounds "awesome"! He was in BK for 1 day then a small village for a few days. He described it as a "lovefest" where everyone is having fun yet being kind and often wishing each other good luck after "soaking" them with water. I can't even imagine such an event in Southern Caifornia. If that were to occur here there would be fights,stabbings,shootings, and of course lawsuits.

Next year I must attend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
