  1. Palin for President makes perfect sense.Any policy disagreements with male counterparts - She just bangs em.Exactly what Bill Clinton did...and he even managed to balance the budget.Hormonomics...?
  2. Nothing on earth is like Ryanair.Admittedly never actually flown them but once booked a ticket for a friend.Bad karma has flowed ever since (they apparently charge you now for the good stuff). Air Asia is one of the better LCCs and their Web promos are a steal .The only problem being you book em so early that by the time you get around to flying ,you've changed you mind and want to go somewhere else(or is that just me?) .Suspect they must have a ton of no shows on those rates .
  3. Lost in translation -and possibly lost in comprehension :-)
  4. what dream? mongs come in all political stripes. Probably right there. Not sure why but Tim Geit-lite keeps springing to mind. oh ffs. like YOU could do it.... while in your spare time leading West Ham to the Champs League on weekends... No can do.We have what ya call a conflict of interest.US is trying to curb hedge funds whilst WHU is owned by one (that well known racey financial institution called Iceland).
  5. Well here you state quite clearly in just one sentence that up to 5.5 million of the readers of the Mail/Sun think Obama is a "Mussy". In the case of the Sun i think the correlation you seem to have established between intelligence and reading a tabloid is quite misguided not to mention patronising. So have you actually asked Sun/Mail readers for their opinions- instead of relying sterotypes? I genuinely believe most are probably pro Obama.Sorry to shatter the dream. The comments on the majority of Sun/Mail readers thinking Obama was a mussy were purely poetic licence. As I said in my last post, Obama's election was widely welcomed in the UK. My comments on Sun readers may be patronising, but not neccesarily misguided. It is the worst of tabloids and, should actual scientific research ever be carried out, would be likely to have the lowest average IQ level among its readers. I did ask several Sun readers for their opinions, but the answers of 'ugh', 'grunt' and 'more **** please' did little to answer the question. I would agree that a majority of people in the UK do support Obama, but there is till a significant number of cons, neo-cons and media-cons, who would have been happier with a right wing President. The main difference, imo, between the broadsheets and the tabloids in the UK is that the broadsheets cater for those who have already formulated their opinions, while the tabloids seek to shape opinions and to pander to the nation's need for sensationalism, celebrities dying of cancer and large breasts. Well you do have a point-one can always depend on pictures of increasingly gigantic mammaries in times of economic stress to make great copy.In media jargon -quantity enlarging(QE) .

  8. Well you've mentioned virtually every UK national paper.3 particuarly noticeable omitances come to mind - the left wing flagship Guardian with a readership of a 350,000(even the Financial Times is read by more ) and the million-ish readers of the Mirror.Assuming most Times readers are centre to centre right in their political leanings, the overwhelming conclusion(via your methodology of using national Newspaper readership figures) actually has to be that THE majority British opinion is that Dubya is the best thing since Hitler and Obama is a erm 'mussy'. Needless to say this is a total nonsense. But hey-thanks for the diatribe
  9. Philippine airlines-PAL >>Plane always late
  10. They are now part of the Skyteam alliance ,privatised and are fairly ok-ish with quite a lot of their international fleet now upgraded to Airbuses and Boeings. Can't really compare them now to the Aeroflot of old .Though they are still good to get hammered-ski on.

They don't seem very 'punk'- more sort of 'mod' ish. It's the kind of quality continental music that wins the Eurovision song contest. So did they win it?
