  1. racism noun the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, esp. so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races. • prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on such a belief (Rather like some Bangkokians feel about 'up-county folk') Racism, in many forms, exists everywhere. To answer you question, I dont think either of your examples are racist. Just personal preference/taste for that type of partner. Unless they start to put another race down or believe one race
  2. Or the American.... yeah, I think he would get his marching orders at least, given how sensitive all this is. At the very least, he's gobbed off way more than he should of, and landed some very big fish in some very hot water. oooooooohhhh Wikileaks you do make me smile. Reportedly, some of the really 'big news' cables are yet to be released. I may be wrong with my count but I understand only about 1500-2000 of the 250K have been released thus far. This could continue for around a year? quite a good doco if anyone hasnt yet see it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPglX8Bl3Dc and yes, providin

  4. I wonder why Prem et al wouldn't be charged with lese majeste after these comments leaked from wikileaks recently.... http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/dec/15/wikileaks-thailand-royal-succession-prince oh... hang on.... silly question.
  5. Does anyone really give a flying **** about this silly blow-hard woman and her issues? Just another arrogant 'try-so' Thai who can't accept any responsibility for themselves and their own actions, or just simply move on. It's all tabloid garbage.
  6. And we can all blame the Scorpions for the plethora of **** Thai rock bands all sounding the same, trying to copy them over the past 20 years. I truly hope this is their farewell tour as is touted so the Thai music scene can move on and improve.
  7. So, if it weren't for the churches there would've been same sex marriages in ancient Greece ??? (and Rome BC) I think if you check your history, being 'gay' (to use a modern term) didn't carry anywhere near the stigma it carries in today's society. I would say that the churches have played a huge role is creating these stigmas and alienation of gay people. If you check Roman history, it was reasonably common for many men to penetrate their male (or female)slaves if they wished (although it was considered outrage if the slave penetrated them!) To answer your question directly, I think yo
  8. As far as I'm aware, marriage was always a community thing, until the churches got themselves involved, added a bunch of rules, dogma and bullshit and, generally, f**ked it up. (although some fine and idealist words have been written about what a marriage could be - read Corinthians etc) On top of this, the governments and legal folks got involved to try to set some sort of ground rules, perhaps at first to protect people and make things fair and equitable (before, during and after the break-up), but inevitably they made it even more complex and (look at divorce in the US) very expensive and c
  9. So is Colin saying that people enjoy watching Beej masturbate? I think some people would pay good money for that
  10. "Art is like masturbation. It is selfish and introverted and done for you and you alone. Design is like sex. There is someone else involved, their needs are just as important as yours, and if everything goes right, both parties are happy at the end." - Colin Wright
  11. I think people might be able to tell lie to anybody but self The worst lies are those I tell myself. Hamlet Act I Scene 3: This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man. PJack, honestly, i dont understand what Hamlet tried to tell in Act 1 Scene 3 above but whoever Hamlet was telling lie to, he will know it best that its a lie. unless he was under influent of drug... very strong drug yeah. I know what you mean please explain Jack, Because I have no idea.
  12. the real question is: why do you want to know?

This was his speech to the graduating class of 2008. ----- I must say thank you to the faculty and staff of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information for inviting me to give your convocation address. It’s a wonderful honour and a privilege for me to speak here for ten minutes without fear of contradiction, defamation or retaliation. I say this as a Singaporean and more so as a husband. My wife is a wonderful person and perfect in every way ex
