  1. do you think he was hoping if he said Vietnam in bold enough times it would hypnotise the admins into changing this site to Vietnamfriends.com?
  2. They might even make a late charge for the Europa league spot at this rate, I laughed at them getting King Kenny back but it actually seems to have worked out for them
  3. I used to love watching Torres play, right back to when he was at Atl.Madrid but his antics this season have been terrible. He's sulked around the pitch all season, occasionaly chipping in with the odd goal when he could be bothered to turn it on, and even though I don't really like Liverpool it was great to see them take a big crap all over his Chelsea debut last week. 50m for Torres and 35m for Andy Carroll is just crazy money. 24m for Darren Bent suddenly doesn't look too bad!
  4. Story broke on the Daily Mail which loves to be as right wing as they come. When I fly around Thailand I love Air Asia, I literally sit their dribbling at their attendants, Just the racy posters on the airport buses gets my pulse racing.

    and so it ends.

yep just trying to get focused on my trip in April now, heading to Udon first and a Thai girl my workmate met whilst he was out there in January has messaged me on facebook and wants me to meet all her friends when I get over there so as one door closes hopefully another will open down the line.

    and so it ends.

Not long before I came to Thailand for the first time I met a girl in my town and it looked like it had the potential to be a long term thing, when I came back I was waxing lyrical about Thailand and so I returned with her in June but 3 weeks together night and day exposed us different people with different goals in life and so we broke up in July. We had some wild times together in the sack and it was a shame to let that go so we kept seeing each other for benefits right up until a couple of weeks back, all of a sudden she closed down contact whereas normally she would ring me every day. I spoke to her today and my suspicions were correct that she's started dating again and doesn't want to hook up anymore but still wants me as a friend. Part of me is massively gutted as I really thought she was going to be the one but at the same time I'm more focused now on my April trip to Thailand and finally at the third time of asking I'll be there as a 100% single man! I saw her being as my last real shot at happiness in the UK, once I'd been to Thailand the 1st time I told myself that if things didn't work out with her that I'd need to seriously consider making a fresh start in pastures new and now I'm going to have to see if I can make it happen.

  8. That was a hell of a night all told, after the bout I carried on partying but the mixture of the earlier buckets and concussion meant I had memory loss for about 4 hours of the night. I like a drink but never get in that sort of state. I had no clue how to find my bungalow and ended up falling in the bushes on the way home which meant some Aussie girls came running out to help me as they thought a monkey was attacking their hut! They helped me so far and then next thing I remembered I was crawling up the side of a reservoir where the bungalows were and finally made it home. The next day I woke up and when I started going through my phone I found all the footage to help me piece together what had happened last night. I uploaded whilst I was still on Phi Phi and thanks to Facebook my mates had all circulated it around and unbeknown to me my office had been watching it loads. When I got back to to work people stopped me in my tracks and started giving the "EASY" clap as soon as I walked in. I still get asked about it to this day.
  9. here's a FAIL! all of my own. my first night on Phi Phi and only my 3rd night in Thailand full stop I got a bit carried away and blitzed through about 2 buckets in an hour and after chatting with some backpackers, I then found myself getting egged on to "have a go" at some Muay Thai to win us all another bucket, an idea which in the world of soberness I would never have done 1 million years.
  10. as usual Arsenes transfer policy comes back to haunt him, they need a decent centre back to go with Vermaelen.
  11. I'm half looking at maybe checking out Udon Thani as I haven't visited the North East yet. @Koolbreez - one of my friends warned me before my first trip that once this place grabs your heart its hard to forget it. As time has passed I realise more what he meant. I would have loved to have been in CM for Song Kran as I saw some of the vids on YouTube and it looked great fun, but I already committed to seeing my friend in Bangers for that period. I'm not a massive fan of BKK, trying to get from A to B without the Skytrain I found frustrating at the best of times. I come to Thailand to de-stress and all that traffic didn't help!
  12. well when I was over in June the reds were supposedly blockading bridges and burning tires but I didn't see a single fire or red shirt, and this was supposedly reds territory? I haven't been Koh Chang yet, might possibly be going Koh Samet after Song Kran with my friend. I think the only avenue open to me is teaching English. I don't have any university degree so will probably need to get TEFL'ed before I can get in. That said my friend has a good contact that could probably get me a work visa without any of the above if I was happy to live and work in Bangers (my preference would be somewhere a bit quieter)

    Human Planet

the underwater diving scenes in the Phillipines were amazing, as was the sea gypsy walking on the sea bed with his spear hunting and the other guy catching a shark with just a noose on a bit of wood.
  14. I finally had confirmation from my boss yesterday that 3 week my holiday has been approved so I'm back to Thailand in April. It will be my 3rd trip in the space of 18 months, my first being in October 2009. I haven't quite decided on my itinerary just yet but will probably head up North to see more of Chiang Mai for starters and try and take in a few beaches before I head to BKK to meet my friend who teaches over here and then get involved in Song Kran. Hopefully during this trip I'm hoping to make my mind up once and for all whether I want to move out here on a longer basis and find work, I've definitely got the bug for this place in a big way. I don't have much in the way of commitments tying me to life the UK so it feels like the right time make a fresh start in pastures new.
