I am planning to rent a place here in BKK. Now, I am only here every so often and was wondering if anybody had any ideas how to organize payment of monthly rent, utility bills, etc.
It would be great, if the banks here allowed me to open up a checking account that I could manage via the internet, but they don't. Appearently I need a work permit for a checking account. Opening a savings account is not a problem, but doesn't allow me to write checks..
Any ideas? Anybody paying rent from overseas?
