For excellent security, at no cost, and without clogging up your system with monster programs like Norton: * Grisoft AVG antivirus is free for home use and does not eat up your memory. It's also cheaper than the rest for professional office use. Go to http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1 (yes, really free and is updated automatically daily) * Zone Alarm from Zone labs has a *free* firewall for home use. Get it at http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp (when you first use this software it prompts you with a lot of questions. Be sure you understand your replies or you might accidentally stop some programs from working properly until the settings are corrected. If you really are a newbie, best ask a friend for some help here) * Microsoft have a free anti-spyware program (beta) which takes out a lot of the worst offenders (rumor has it that it also identifies and removes Norton!) Get it at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=321cd7a2-6a57-4c57-a8bd-dbf62eda9671&displaylang=en The protection is not 100% and you might hate MS so another good and free choice is Ad-aware SE Personal edition. Get it at www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware No harm in having both these anti-spyware programs installed Someone can make a case why some expensive software that you have to buy will give you better protection, but the reality is that you are protected better than > 99.9% of home users with this set up, while using less memory than fancy programs like Norton will take from you with their wizards and fancy graphical interfaces. DON"Tt bother with pirate versions of this kind of commerical software since they will not be updated and will quickly become worse than useless DO install the windows update patches when you are prompted to by yoiur system, else you will be a little more vulnerable and more likely to be targetted by hackers Niranahm

Hi, we are looking for staff for two projects: First is to build a new webpage for your company with similar designs and functions as www.rituals.com The second is more complex, since we are looking to intergrate a Customer Relationship Management program with a stock program, and a pricing program (needs to make calculations with variables such as tax depending on materials used, transport by sea and road and commissions to sales staff and much, much more....) The applicants will have to be based in BKK or willing to relocate there for a short time. Wages are USD 9.00 per hour, roughly 270 bath per hour, paid weekly Work will be conducted on our premises and using our computers, we are not interested in freelancers working from home. If you have any questions or to send you CV, please contact us on paul_999_............., we can then supply the name of our company and more details regarding the job. The optimal would be to find one hardworking "Jack of all trades" but we are looking for 1-3 staff, since the project is urgent and is to start from next week.

Quite a long time ago someone had a problem with the Lexitron Thai>English>Thai dictionary that it would not display Thai fonts. I've searched the forum archives and can't find the fix! I recently had to reinstall XP and now I can't see Thai fonts in Lexitron. Anyone know or remember the fix?

So how fast is your connection? Find out here: http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ For me, the NEW YORK CITY location returns the best figures. Today's results using Hutch wireless broadband: Download speed: 134 kbps (16.8 kb/sec.) Upload speed: 70 kbps (8.8 kb/sec.) I think I'll change when my contract runs out.
