Now, it’s an all-out water war. People take to the streets with hoses, buckets, and water guns as they try to get everyone around them as sopping wet as possible. Though Thailand is not the only country to hold the nation-wide water fight, it is the most famous. Thailand’s Songkran Water Festival [Photos]

The cameras on phones are improving day by day. I'm starting this thread with only one rule: Only photos taken with the camera built into your phone allowed. No SLR's or pocket cameras. I will start us of with two or three. These were all taken on my iPhone, but I did use an HDR app, and an app called Colour Splash for the last one. Taken from BBC restaurant near Big Buddha: Below taken near Big Buddha: Last one taken on Chaweng Beach: Now get clicking and posting.

Again I've a very nice tip from National Geographic "How to Take Camera Phone Pictures". I always like the contents and pictures from NG. May be you can get some nice photos with your camera phone. I like to take a photo and being a model as well. Enjoy taking a photo ^^ http://photography.nationalgeographic.com/photography/photo-tips/camera-phone-photos/?source=link_fb20110520cameraphonetips Tree Backlit by Sunlight Photograph by Sheldon Wood Sunlight pierces a lone tree. Photo Tip: Choose the highest quality setting available so you lose less detail and don’t get a muddy photo. If you have to choose between resolution and a quality setting to save space—and it’s unlikely you’ll make prints—reduce the resolution.

The topic for this months photo competition as chosen by last months winner 2unique is: "Water" Please send your entries by 24/01/2009 to photo.comp@ hotmail.co.uk (remember to remove the space between @ and hotmail if copy and pasting). Please be sure to read the rules before entering the competition. The rules for the competition can be found here. Make sure you include all the information required in your email. You can send a photo you have already or go out and shoot something specific for this topic...it's up to you. Please, just don't use any photos you have previously posted here because the entries in the voting thread will be anonymous. Although it is a competition it is supposed to be sanook. Do not be shy entering just because we have some resident photographers that could well contribute to the National Geographic. If you enjoy photography join in whatever your equipment (I don't have a digital SLR either...yet) or your level is. We can all learn from the discussions we will have about the entries and hopefully improve our techniques and style. Since it had been brought up last month I just like to remind people, I'm not going to alter your entries in any way like cropping or re-sizing. That is your job. I may on occasion ask people though to re-submit a photo in a different size if I feel it may benefit from doing so. I would suggest to submit entries at a size of 1024 x 768 if possible. Lets start the new year by raising the bar even further. No small task then. ;-) Feel free to give the thread an occasional bump to remind people. Thanks and good luck to everybody....and now go out there and let the (creative) juices flow! 8)

Something that bothers me a lot the last months is that 2 ppl fight out their personal problems here on TF. U know who I'm talking about, Kip and Nat (funny_girl). It's like they are stalking each other? When one put a journal, the other will put a insulting comment. I think TF isn't the place to do that. It's like u r fighting each other on TF. Become mature and work it out as decent ppl, but not on TF. Sorry, but I have to say that both your behaviour is very childish to me. Just stop with it and go further with ur own live. The past doesn't matter, the future does. I know it's not the first time ppl are fighting and putting their personal problems with other TF-members on the forum or journals. IMO, this is not a place to do it. What's ur opinion on that?
