I was looking for an updated version of the old 2008 Thai Tax Calculator that was on Ajarn.com .. but it has disappeared. I still have it however. After a bit of checking I found out that the rates have not changed. I cleaned it up a bit and uploaded it here for anyone who wants it (excel file) http://www.filedropper.com/thailandtaxcalc2011 I also collected some extra info on deductions etc here (docx file) http://www.filedropper.com/thailandtaxrates2010-2011 Here's the link to the Thai Revenue Department if anyone wants to double check the rates. http://www.rd.go.th/publish/6045.0.html

Hi, I think there's no problem hand carrying a laptop into the country but what is the duty rate on laptop computers shipped to Thailand? Has anyone tried this and what kind of delay at customs was incurred? Thanks. Also, could anyone recommend an authorized Apple dealer in BKK? It seems they are all the same in terms of prices so post-sales support is my focus. The person who would be using the laptop has little or no Macintosh experience. This place looks promising: http://www.eits.co.th/index.php Cheers, Jo

Just wondering if you have to pay tax in the UK, if you live in Thailand as a tourist? For example, if your salary is paid into a UK bank account, but you're a UK non-resident and you live in Thailand (on a tourist visa)??? You are in theory a non-resident everywhere. Nobody seems to know that answer. Can you help? Thanks :?
