It needs to be made bigger, or a new logo. Perhaps some sort of happy medium between the old and new logo can be achieved, but thats just me thinking out loud about trying to please more members. I know f*** all about web design or font use. On another note, I did not like the recent revolving photo box, and I know others have already mentioned the lack of visible borders. And it was one event where some people did something they were specifically asked not to do so to pretend it represents TF is . . . .not exactly accurate. BTW, for those of you who didn't go to the pool party . . . we hired some dancers and they took off their tops exposing some pasties underneath. Like I said, I saw their act which included the top removal and told them we absolutely didn't want that. But once they got out there they did it anyway. And what I said was I was surprised that nobody every incorporated the colors into the design. I wasn't saying that that is what I wanted. Maybe no website base in TH use red, white blue because they are not allowed. Just to be on the safe side, stay away from those colour. admin Posted March 29, 2010 Author Report Share Posted March 29, 2010 Uhm . . . you do realize that the US, UK, France, Costa Rica, and Australia (plus a few others that don't jump to the top of my head) all have red, white, and blue flags, don't you? The colors don't belong to Thailand. In fact, the flag was adopted in 1917 under Rama VI and he chose the colors (in part) because they were the colors of Thailand's allies during WWI (UK, France, Serbia, Russia) although Rama VI did assign different meanings to the colors (Thai nation, Buddhism, and the monarchy). Rama VI's inspiration of using stripes was also based on his desire to have Thailand's flag appear more like the European flags as ever since Rama II the flag had been solid red with a white elephant in the center. A quick Google search does seem to indicate that there is a National Flag Act but the only references to it I can find (in English) are a Thai woman in the UK who put the flag on a porn website which the Thai government didn't take too kindly to and some dude who tried to amend the law in 2007 making it mandatory that all people, even motorists would have to pause at 8am and 6pm daily for the raising and lowering of the Thai flag. But if it's something that Thai people might be offended by that's all one needs to say. That's a perfectly valid reason not to work with those color schemes. About Thai flag and colour of the flag, I think you better check it with the lawyers team. There are many graphic designers around TF. let them shine. and about naked..girls... hmmm they were topless not totally naked..lol it's not my things anyway... quite disappointed about unfair redesign party... at least they should have men show for the girls... Quite right , Neung ...Bill and Rob's background (USA) should have requied equal rights and you women should have made your demands right then.
