Ringu is the only horror to every truly disturb me and leave me with messed up dreams for weeks. (though fair enough the 200 mushrooms may not have helped) Would also say The Wicker Man (NOT THAT PISS POOR US REMAKE WITH THE TRULY DISMAL NIC CAGE) Rosemary's Baby The Birds Don't Look Now (very creepy; Roeg at his very best) Carnival of Souls Dawn of the Dead The Exorcist (original) Nightmare on Elm Street (original) The Shining Dracula (Lugosi or Lee) The Haunting (60's version) Suspiria (freaky as ****) Poltergeist (the doors are where the windows should be) Evil Dead II People Under the Stairs The Omen Hellraiser Invasion of the Body Snatchers Ju-On (nearly as good as Ringu) seen a few other Korean and Japanese ones whose names escape me, but those 2 countries seem to have taken the crown for psychological horrors while Hollywood and the West churn out clichéd gorefests like Saw and Hostel (yawn) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
