Well since you asked; yes I will one day relocate there, although it wont be based on the current Thai costs of beer and cigs. That was more in line with the fact I will be there for a few weeks in March.... if thats ok with you of course? :P

i think the smokes are around 70 baht...and a heineken will run ya 90 to 110 baht on average....of course...the beer can be more should you go to discos or gogo bars etc.

(gee..I hope Loburt didn't mind me answering your question...maybe I should have checked with him first???)

Currently a pack of Marlboro is approx £5.20 GBP (360 Bht) and a pint of beer is £2.60 GBP (180 Bht) here in the UK.

What is current Thai price on the above?

PS. Beer was Grolsch, Thai similar comparison I guess would be imported Heineken

depends when, what and where u r drinking !!

bottle or heineken can range from 55 baht to 180 baht ... in kao sarn or sukhumvit bars i'd guess average is about 90 baht.

pint of heinekein in farang type bars around 140.

pint of guinness or killkennys around 180 to 210 baht.

just a rough guide, but not really sure as i don't drink that much !!!

FYI the heineken you buy here in thailand is brewed here in thailand. it's a bit antiseptic and lacking in personality, but then so is the heineken you buy in holland.

beer-wise malaysia is a better deal, they brew guiness in malaysia and it's same price as the rest of the beer more or less (don't know exactly but in line with prices quoted here). sadly it doesn't seem to be widely available in thialand (or at those prices).

bloody hell Zeus loads of places selling guinness here ... check out the dubliner on a Tuesday night 1st pint normal price (around 200 baht) pints for the rest of the night only 100 baht !!!

that's not a bad price for bangers (even regular price) but not as cheap as normal prices malaysia, where it was same price as, say, tiger or san mig, and every minimart had guiness.

The price of beer here is comparable with Thailand. A pint of beer (which is 25 cl if it's draft beer) is between ? 1,50 to 2,00 depending in which pub. If u go for a better, stronger beer (Ale, Trappist, Abbey beer ........) it may cost u ? 2,20 to 3,50 (that's most always 33 cl). But the beer and choice is better anyway than anywhere else  .

I always drink Singha in Thailand, I hate to drink the Heineken peewater. the beer is quite the same price as in Belgium.

Cigarettes cost ? 5,00 for a packet of 25 here. What's a lot more than in Thailand. But u hv some cheaper brands for ? 4,50 containing 28 cigs.

That's why a lot of Englishmen cross the channel here to buy loads of cigs and booze till they drop.
