0 JayB
This web site should give you all the information you need. From Bangkok you can take either the bus or train to Kanchanaburi. Just follow all the links on the site http://www.kanchanaburi-info.com/en/muang.html A lot of other places well worth seeing in the same area like the War Cemetery and JEATH War Museum It's a trip I'd recommend to anyone. Not exactly fun but very thought provoking and a very moving experience Check this site too for more on Hellfire Pass http://www.hellfirepass.com/
0 Malky
You should go to the southern bus terminal and take the bus to Kanchanaburi. The bus will drop you in Kanchanaburi town and then ask a taxi/tuk-tuk driver to take you to the bridge. It's about 10 mins from the town centre.
