I love makeup on women, provided they know how to do it tastefully, and that they also look good without it.

This multimillion dollar makeup industry wouldn't exist if made up women didn't excite men (or women, for that matter). I don't believe advertising can brainwash us to that degree; makeup must appeal to some mating or aesthetic instinct in us, maybe something to do with color. Maybe you can call it the peacock syndrome or something.

But some women can turn their otherwise lovely face into a disaster area with stuff like blue liner and eyelashes, etc.

And if a woman removes her makeup and she's got dark pits under her eyes or some other such thing, then you feel like she was hiding something. I guess she was. If you look closely, though, you can usually spot stuff like that even when they're made up.

I hope I'm not offending anyone with this.

You can forget about Thai women giving up on the white powder thing. As long as the elite class here is Thai-Chinese, ain't gonna happen. Everyone aspires to that pale north Asian look.

I am 100% with you here.

Gosh i hate cheap false eye lashes. and cheap make-up if that matters.

Moderation is the key.

MAKEUP is ART, MAKEUP is FUN.

I really love this subject when I study it in university. My minor was Public Relations, so we have to study that stuff. I keep reading in mag. and website.. about new trend / how to make up. I really like it.

My friends (guy) included my dad always say, they didn't like girls' makeup. I told them I do believe in natural beauty but makeup could emphasize the prominent, in the mean time it can fix, hind vice on our face.

Throughout the history, men and women had been equally using cosmetics until the turn of century that men gave less important on the face and more on the hairstyle. Even the thick powder white face was in fashion during Baroque through Rococo period. It was considered attractive. Men were even more flamboyant back then. Make-up is fashion, changing through times. Contemporary fashion of make up is more about enhancing of what you got to stand out even more. and of course, some women have more fun on make up than the others. and most importantly, Make-up reflects the taste of the wearer.
