Thanks anyway for the honest comment. keep edges sharp. that's how the pros do it on magazine covers. another thing you can do is use the clone tool to keep the texture you want--for example, find a patch of skin you like then go over the bad bits with it. if you do a lot of painting, or paste in bits from other images, it is useful to apply a slight noise to an image so that it all looks like the same image, but this is more for compositing than cleaning up. on the other hand, the blurry thing is taken to the point where it looks intentional, maybe you can just go with it.
