0 Stu_thailand
Considering the state of the Pound against the baht, and considering the state of Bangkok airports at the moment, there should be one or two travel agents paying YOU to fly to Bangkok
0 Stramash
I would wait a few weeks; even if the political situation calms down or is solved, the fact is; people are cancelling their Thailand trips in droves, even if their departure isn't scheduled for 3 months!! I would wait till early January then shop around - would guarantee that there will be a LOT of special offers around...

Wise idea. I plan my trip to the end of January, and will buy tickets maybe 3-4 days before flight, no hotel booking, I think, I will find good offers in the BKK. If you go to travel agents who do tailor made trips, they will have had so many cancellations that they will be falling over themselves to get bookings; lots of 'x' days free when 'y' booked etc. Ask for lots of extras free; transfers, breakfasts, even chance your arm for flight upgrades. Play 2 or 3 off against each other; you will end up saving a packet!
