idar73
I'll go to Thailand in March, and I'll be flying with Aeroflot via Moscow. I've heard some bad rumours about the service and standard on Aeroflot routes... Can anyone tell me about their experience with this airline? Stu_thailand
I'd be worrying about things such as the wings staying on the place more than what would be for lunch....
PeeMarc
all the wings and things must sacrifice to work as a collective for the good of the whole plane. Well, thats the theory anyway.
Dr_Mike
They just recently lost a plane... I flew with the flop back in 2002 to Moldova, NEVER again! Round boat port holes for windows. NO maintenance budget, Russian passengers all talking on their cell phones. Scary!!!
Stu_thailand
flew aeroflot in 99, london to bangkok via moscow... least it was empty from moscow to bangkok allowing me to stretch out and sleep! however it was a primer coated chop job that even arthur daley would have had trouble shifting Nufink to do wiv me, Detective Chism!!! grezzzy_greer
I was trying to recall the meaning of the name - no, not the real meaning of course...as an acronym...but I cant remember...maybe I will Google it shortly... It was always called AeroFlop by anyone I spoke to about it. Maybe we can hijack this rather discomfitting thread and lighten it a bit... TAA (now defunct Aussie airline) = Try Another Airline SABENA = Such A Bad Experience Never Again What others? Oh - re your question Idar...when I voted I noticed it was 100% No Way...stil was when I had done voting...sorry...are the tickets refundable...?? dannyboy
My Indian teaching buddie flew with them last year...He is still plucking the grey hairs from his head...
cherryberry
don't think it's a good idea to share a plane with drunk passengers... but if i'm drunk it's ok.
glidaren
I flew with them via Moscow in december 2004, it wasn't the best standards but for me the worst thing was the terrible airport and having to spend 16 hours there. Maybe the airport has changed since then but if it's a long stop over i would recommend another route.

GoldMember
They are now part of the Skyteam alliance ,privatised and are fairly ok-ish with quite a lot of their international fleet now upgraded to Airbuses and Boeings. Can't really compare them now to the Aeroflot of old .Though they are still good to get hammered-ski on.
