I noticed this evening that I have been washing my hands more often over the past week simply because of this flu. I've been taking vitamin C everytime I go "into the big city," and probably wash my hands 6-8 times on those days as well. I'm never one to get overly paranoid about these sorts of things, but I think my precautions on this one aren't excessive and are within reason. I still can't do the mask thing...too uncomfortable. Having someone laugh at it.. it's nothing new to me.. I wash my hands that way since the infection control team ask me to create media to train staff... convince, make them realize how important of hand washing. The hands can safe ppl lifes or kill them. It's hard job. When my friends and people around have seen me wash my hands like that.. they think it was funny and waste time. I don't care... These days they asked me to show them "how to" again and again. Sometimes people laugh to see someone do something right cuz it's aint cool.
