Help needed: how to switch keyboard language before login???

Recommended Posts

Ok when I swiched off my laptop, I had my keyboard set to Thai, and of course now I cannot log in WINXP anymore, as my password is in English.

I KNOW there is a shortcut CTR ALT something, as I had this last year too, but I dont remember anymore.

Anyone can help me URGENT please??

As I am in Mukdahan and I have a lo of online work to do, that I cannot do in a cybercafe.

Please note with the ALT + codes, as I tried it and it does not work.

Gee Ghee this sounds like a real doozy that could only be done by someone under the influence of Lao beer from Savannakhet......

Does not the reset button, the hole that you have to stick a pin into, restore factory/default settings????

LG, the content of my har drive is far to valuable to risk in a reset ;)

Fair enough. I always understood that is should not wipe all those wonderful pics you have on your hard drive just restore the settings, but yes it is a risk.

Good luck.

Alt+Shift changes languages, and it works before logging on too.

If that doesn't work you can try to enter the password in ASCII codes. If the password was "test"

ALT - 0116 !t

ALT - 0101 !e

ALT - 0115 !s

ALT - 0116 !t
