Things are going great as I am back in Bangkok to sign papers on my new place that I move into on June 15. I have purchased all of the sheets, things for the kitchen, pillows, etc. Life is good! Then, my aircon is broken, and stuck on FREZZING! I am surprised that I did not wake up with snow in the room! Why do hotels have things like this? I am sure that not everyone wants to freeze on vacation! So I got sick (I usually only sleep with a fan to stay cool). Now I am relaxing and nursing myself bac
I have been playing this online game that is supposed to change the way you look at prosperity from the inside out. It is called the prosperity game, and I admit that is sounds a little too new - age / hippie dippy. At the same time a friend convinced me to check it out.
The game is free (I have been playing for 6 months, and I am curious as to who funds the site).
It has a gratitude journal where you write down 5 things a day that you are grateful for, and then each day you get a fictiti
I am happy to be back in Phnom Penh after a busy time in BKK. I found my condo! and I am so relieved. I can move in on June 15 and it is exactly what I am looking for. The gym looks seldom used, the pool is clean, and the condo is walking distance from work! Yes! After my 4 years in Cambodia I am stoked to be able to walk to work!
I feel like the luckiest person in the world! I am also happy to be back into the routine at the gym. I mean I love red wine and the disco, but I have to be respon
I had an interesting time this week meeting people from TF! I met some really cool people, had fun and got a lot of work done! It has been a great week, and I am looking forward to returning on April 10 - 19.
I am a bit surprised at how nice many of the people are. I am sure there are a lot of strange people (hey, I am on here!) but there are some neat people as well with interesting lives, a good sense of humor, intelligent, and have good hearts. The internet world can be a strange place to me
One thing that never ceases to amaze me is the difficulty in doing simple things in Cambodia.Apparently I cannot upgrade because the server is not secure. It might be secure, but my guess is that the cracked software that is being used to run it prevents me from making credti card transactions from Cambodge. I will arrive in 10 days for a day of work, then to process some papers for visas, then relax with friends after eating authentic Japanese food near soi 26. Perhaps a night at Bed Supper or
I am waking up, did my yoga, made coffee. The coffee is from Rattanaikiri in Cambodia, and is some of the best coffee to grace this planet. The coffee, black pepper, and excellent cheap wine with no import tax will be three thins I miss about Cambodia when I move to Bangkok.
I have been thinking about being my age, never married, with no kids, which is natural enough for many people, especially since I have been asked about it every day for nearly all of the 5.5 years I have lived in Asia. Obv
March 1, 2009 2:15 am Insomnia is driving me a bit mad. Fireworks CS3 (OK, I know as a computer guy I should be onto CS4 by now) is looking interesting. It seemed lame at first but I c an now see how it can really help out with DreamWeaver. How many other people have this? By definition it makes me a night person! BTW - People can leave comments, as I had accidentally had the settings arranged to prohibit this. After looking over the profiles I get the impression that TFs is a combination of da

I have decided to start adding a bit to the journal section as I have just joined Thailandfriends and really still am not completely sure about how this web page actually works and what kinds of people look at it. I am sure what I hope to get out of it, so I thought that posting the journal might help.
I am moving to Thailand after 4 successful years of working in Cambodia. I have just signed the contract, and things are proceeding to move along with the work visas and other paperwo
