I have a mate who DJ's in Koh Samui, he just asked the clubs if he can have a set and they both offered him residencies after impressing.

Bauhaus (6 nights a week) and Green Mango (1 night a week) I think.

i play different stuff depending on the place i'm at, dj's stuck in one style might find less work. so for a chilled out bar i play lounge music, for a packed place on the weekend with plenty of drunk people i will play funk, house or hip hop. but sometimes i play rock as well. more fun for me to switch styles, i might get bored doing same stuff all the time.
