Dear Journal,Last year my goal was to be published; no money, but being in print has its own rewards. If a publisher takes time to put you in print, give you a by-line it has to be worth something.  This year's goal is money, from being in print, and to win a writing contest.Dear sweet Journal, it is said that the first step in setting a goal is to write it down so that it can be seen and then be achieved. My hope is that these two things are not too much to shoot for....To meet a nice Thia lady and be able to start to develop a deep friendship with her would be great too... but I think that is too much to hope for too....

Concerning honesty: It is the first thing I am with any friend... When in private email, it is especially important. The thing I have found is that I am so honest about myself that it usually stops my friendship before it begins. I've had women tell me that I can't be with you because I like you too much: Now what is that about? Anyway, I am honest, and I don't tell lies or fibs to my friends, and my special friend would know me completely; I am as honest and usually more honest than most men. I only want one woman friend, and she would be special to me and what we have together would be special. Really, men don't like me because I'm so honest about the way we -- as men, are... am I honest and in being honest... I am so honest it hurts.
