weird day

Today I had a very weird day. After I came back from the hospital I in the morning (I needn't go to my work), I went home drinking a coffee and checking my e-mail. Working on the computer I discovered that the battery was almost flat. The electricity adapter was broken! Went to a shop nearby to get a new one...Coming back, the key of the front door of the house kept on turning... The lock wouldn't open!In Amsterdam 3 or 4 people live in a house, each having their own appartment. Nobody at home.... damn! Off to the landlord then, who lives at the other side of town. He made a call to the SOS key doctor team.To reward myself for all this action, I bought myself an icecream at Haegen Datz... with the milk chocolate sauce! Very delicious..... Also bought three tickets for concerts at the Amsterdam UIT Bureau (ticket office): No Means No - The Young Gods - Shellac..... Wow, good concerts and all next month! I biked home again, thinking of whether the SOS team would come soon or not. With my head in the clouds, I threw the empty cup into a streets dustbin. But, damn, where were the tickets? ****... I just threw them in the bin as well! Unfortunatelly, one needs a special key to open those street bins, so junkies can't reach for the leftovers. Needed to buy this key at a special key-shop. I managed to get one.The bin was near a very crowded crossing, with lots of people waiting for the traffic light. Opening the bin and getting the tickets out embarressed me very much. From the corners of my eye I saw people staring at me: huh... WTF is he doing in that bin? Then when I had my tickets back, I biked away quickly, with an uneasy smile on my face.Luckily, my neighbor had managed to open the frontdoor. I could finally go upstairs again- I live on the third floor- and relax........Later that evening the keyman came and renewed the whole lock. Now I have another problem: the neighbors are not home and tomorrow I go to Bussum. I go there to visit my friend Eveline, who has her holiday in Holland, for she still teaches and lives in Chiang Rai.Think I 'll better hand in the keys at the nearby cafe, leaving a note that my neighbors should call me on my cell phone to get their key information. ;)

You can Nu of Nooit! The music of all three bands are a bit at the heavy side for you though. I'll choose some other concert especially for you then. You know, it's not only heavy alternative music that I like?

First eatin' at my place? I'll cook you a nice dinner before we go! ;)
