Nicky: The canal houses were about a 2 million guilders 20 years ago. That doubled in 20 years. So that should be 4 million guilders.

Guilders became euro's (prices just doubled). I think 4 million euro would be a good approach.. I have no clue..

That's one of the reasons why I could live in Thailand... there I can afford myself a proper house..

An appartment of 40 m2 in de Pijp, where I live, will cost you 200000 Euro. That's 10 million baht. I am renting my appartment here.. That's very common in Holland, especially in the city.

I pay 200 Euro a month, which is zero, nothing, nada, for the beautiful appartment I have. I live on the 3th floor having an indoor staircase to my bedroom on the 4th floor. For here: quite big!

Most people live smaller here and pay twice/triple as much. Lucky me...))))

Strange enough, surveys show that there are no more ganga addicts here in Holland than in any other place around the world..

Hemp is a very good product (referring to Cobrakai... on topic again eh?) for making clothes, paper, and rope. It grows fast and is very strong.

Why other drugs are legal and canabis is not is a mystery. Medical canabis is sometimes prescribed by Dutch doctors (then the insurance even pays!!!!)

I'm against drugs, I don't even get Tylenol unless I'm really sick. Drugs are sh1t, people. You really wanna do it, marijuana it's fine, BUT, don't go any further. I kept my promise from myself for more than 7 tyears and I'm still going to keep it, even though I was organizing house, rave and trance events while back home. DON'T DO DRUGS!!! I mean it, people!

You can be more free here, than in any other country... I think Canada must be ok... Sweden, Norway and Denmark come close.

There are definitely more 'free spirits' here in Amsterdam than there are in many other big cities. Berlin should be place number 1 for 'free spirits', 'artists'.

Barcelona maybe, San Fransisco, errrrr... Who knows other places? Nimbin, Australia? Paris?

It doesn't mean that all those 'free spirit' people use drugs or something. Not at all!!! This boat-guy Reinier Sijpkens is straight edge for sure!

I've only been in Amsterdam for 2 days and didn't have the time to see much, we were just in transit. Free spirit cities....hmmm...what about Prague?

Amsterdam is #1 in Europe...nothing can even come close to Amsterdam
