Lately I bought 3 old laptops on the internet. And I got deceived by one of the seller who never send anything to me and just disappear when I had transferred money in advance as request. I get so mad with myself.

However, I got 2 laptop. And there are problem with them. So I ask here if somebody can give me some advice...

Laptop No.1  (TOSHIBA P3490)  which lacks an internat cd rom drive. And I don't get installation CD. And I don't have a password to the laptop. When it booted up, I saw a screen show Window XP, but I got struck at the password screen...It is not like ordianry password screen coz it used to be a laptop Can I do just like this? Take out the old harddisk and formatted it with aother computer and then set it back to the old laptop. Then install a new Operative System. But I can't figure out how to install a new operative system as I don't have an external CD rom. Thank you in advance for any tips....
