http://laptopgiving.org/en/index.php one laptop per child program. This is a revolutionary program  with an extraornidary laptop! It's waterproof and dust proof. The Wifi connection has actually got about 3 times the range of any laptop on the market with built in wireless! When you buy one right now for people in the US and canada one is sent to a child in a developing nation including places like Camboida, northern Thailand, most of Africa, etc.... Stories have been on this program and it's founder by the MIT professor who started it including everything from the ultra right wing and to the super left. It's truly one thing everyone has gotten behind! I encourage everyone who can participate in this especially being christmas time yoru work, church, and often local charities often do toy drives. TThis is something to help improve someones life, community, and future.  xo_intro_v2.jpg

I truly think these programmes are a good idea...or at least are in the right direction, but I suspect the kids who will benefit will be in the developed areas of those countries, and sadly the kids in the underpriveleged areas will likley miss out.

There needs to be a programme of infrastructure improvement or installation as well...

Good luck to all.

yeah, I saw 60 Minutes too.

I could not understand why this guy was so upset about Intel (or anyone else) doing their own competitive product. I mean how can you be a not for profit who is all fora monopoly?
