Today is the 2nd anniversary of the death of George Best probably the greatest player ever for United and one of the best footballers the world has ever seen. Pele once called him the greatest footballer in the world.
He was the first football superstar and was as famous for his love of the drink and women just as much as for his football.
As a kid I saw him play once in Belfast don’t remember much about the game but can clearly remember him coming to my school and getting his autograph.
Maybe he didn’t play for as long as he should have but by God he was magic to watch
