It doesn't rain.......it pours!!!!!!
You know, sometimes owning a place can be a hassle. Like the yesterday, when I discovered why I kept getting water around the base of my toilet. Seems the wax seal had finally gone out......sounds simple enough, right?...........NO. Seems the type of toilet I have is one mounts to the wall and not the floor, so extra care must be taken when removing and replacing it ( if you accidentally crack this thing, it will set you back $500 US to replace....OUCH!!!! ). Lucky for me I had made some preparation for the plumber before he came, like spraying down the mounting bolts with penetrating compound and removing some of the tiles fronting the toilet to save some time ( saving time with a plumber = saving money...lol ). Well at least luck was with me on this day as the bolts removed easily and the toilet was no problem being removed and there seemed to be no further problems other than the existing mess behind ( plumbing is a dirty, nasty job....no wonder plumbers charge so much ). Well 45 minutes later we had the back cleaned up and had the new parts and the toilet was re-installed.....NO MORE LEAK......YEAH!!!!! The damage......... $120 US, but just as I was headed out the door right after the job was done, I found a huge puddle of water under my refridgerator..........OH NO!!!!!!!!
