Well I haven't been posting much lately because I've been busy with life here and work and one of my friend who just moved from BKK to be with her new husband in Spain introduced me to age of mythology lol, plus the normal stuff dating, hobbies, etc.

I was having a debate with a family friend who is now collecting disability/pension from MTA (metropolitan transportation authority) who runs all the public transporation in the city. This was brought on because of a recent server move at work that was totally screwed up because the company I'm working with presently outsources most of internal stuff to india and someone forgot about the time/day difference. So, this launched a discussion about how the union's were necessary in earlier parts of a countries development but then eventually like anything become giant, bloated bueracracies full or corruption and people taking advantage of it.

Then came some recent articles about what may be the driving force of change in Iran. Labor unions who do not like the current oppressive regimes control and close to slave wages in the name Allah beliefs while the mullahs (priests sits in million dollar palaces). So I started thinking about how do you find balance? How do you provide the balance of good wages, worker protection and job protection without giving people such impunity that sayings like 'hey I'm union try to fire me' or as once quoted on the local about a school guard that was almost imposossible to be fired or an ungodly amount of teachers in the US at least with tenyer and no reason to be working in education 'there's nothing we can do their union'.

This rather completely secondary thing lead me to self questioning. How do you find balance in your own life sometimes? Many of us guys having rise to a term called the 'sunday widow' because the people we date are almost forgotten about over sports. Where does passion become obsession and cross that line in life? Take for exmaple fantasy football. Somethign started as someones hobby to the question of 'what if you could make your ideal team' has actually become a business and a compeition of it's own. There are leagues for a game based on a game?

I know this is kind of random with a few things discussed and discussable within. I tend to multi-task even in my thoughts. lol What do you do to find balance when you get so wrapped up in something? Take Emmokitty's tattoo's and piercings where does enthusiasts and interests cross that line into obsession with them? The guys who workout like a religion or run. Especially marathong runners who train not to win but just to run it and I don't mena run one to say they did but continue to.
