 Let There D.light!

This is Sam Goldman's story. He grew up in Mauritania, Pakistan, Peru, India and Rwanda, was a Peace Corps volunteer in Benin and studied biology and environmental studies in Canada before receiving his MBA from Stanford. “My neighbor’s son in Benin was badly burned by a kerosene lamp. I decided to provide a source of light that is safe and cheap.” This is the story of a social entrepreneur in the making and the building of a global social enterprise: D.light Design.

Blog Link:http://www.socialedge.org/blogs/let-there-d-light I have searched and searched for a high quality and affordable Solar powered LED Lantern, not consumer grade "toys", to use in rural villages. Right now in Thailand most of the 200,000 Solar  Home Systems are broken. Hill tribe people use candles and kerosine lanterns for lights. Looks like the D.Light gang has got it. Something like 3 billion people on this planet don't have decent inexpensive (clean) night lighting.
