I need to slow down a little.
Hello again Thailand Friends,I returned home January 2009 around the 20th, I did get nailed with a 3day overstayI even went to Nong Khai to cross and get a 15 day extension, but in Thailand at the Immagration office they kept saying no problem just pay overstay. I did so and didn't get in trouble other than the fine.I would never advise this, if you are stopped by police for any reason and it is an overstay, the fines are heavy! I didn't have a problem, but as many here and other sites have said. Follow the law in Thailand, life will be easier.I returned to Thailand again in March, June/July and August/September. These trips were 3 weeks except March was 4 weeks.I leave again January 8th, 2010 and will return (Maybe) February 1st. I may just extend to an Tourist Visa before I leave. As I enjoy seeing Thailand so much and renting a motorcycle is such a pain, I bought a used 150cc Honda NSR it has 6 spds and takes my 125kg frame plus bags anywhere in Thailand. At home I run an old Ninja900R, My Harley days are long since gone. I guess the ultimate goal here would be to semi-retire in Thailand. Live there for 4 months out of the year. My winters here are not as bad as some, but bad enough to compell me to winter elsewhere. Days of -40c and winds of 40 knots and snow 1 meter plus is enough to ( well you should get the picture).Take care my Thailand Friends.Sincerely Motorcy Mad Man Dave Danger.
