Hey all!

I just wanted to let all the TF'ers know that Phuket is 100% up and running again and its like Paradise!

The people here have worked sooo hard to clean up the beaches and all the umbrellas and sun longers have gone!

I was on the beach and realised that compared to last year Patong beach is crystal clear water and near white sand! Some people are saying it was like it was here 20 years ago before the tourist buzz!! Apparently the tsunami cleared the first 6ft of sand and left clean sand as well as bring in loads of unpollutted water from the ocean.

I think the best thing people can do now if they want to help is book yourself a ticket to Phuket and come for a week!! The Thai and western businesses have been badly affected by the lack of tourists and many small restaurants and bars are being forced to sell up!

The people down here not only need the tourists to come back but they need the Morale also! Tourists bring money that feeds there families and that makes them smile. It would be great if we could all contact people we know either here and overseas and let them know that things are not in complete devastation and the risk of cholera is gone. Apart from shutters in the windows of the Beach road you would never know this had happened!

The Devastation mongering Press in the world needs to realise the harm they are doing by blowing things out of proportion in theses parts and start to show the Truth for once! Phuket is fully functional and Beautiful! Come and have a look!
