MODERN DOG

Finally, after 10 years of waiting to see this band I did. And I saw them with Toei & Pla. (We tried very hard to get our remaining ticket into the hands of a fellow TFer but all attempts were to late. In any case we sold it at the door.

Modern Dog did a really ballanced show. Songs from all four albums (I could do without the stuff from me Love, Love My Life- but that is part of the Modern Dog experimentation deal you get with these very talented people.) One of the best things about the show was the low tec back drop to the band. They simply used panels to change the background with about 30 people spinning the panels to create new pictures and interesting lighting effects. It reminded me of something form high school but it worked really well. Ya don't need tons of money to put on a good show and they proved it. Also the comedian, I don't know his name, but I know his face, he came out and sang the first song and they changed the backdrop to his face! That was pretty damn funny! Also their were dancing girls near the end. These were not Mai or Tata or Britney types, these were French style Can-can girls who did this wierd swaying vogue thing. Anyway, boobies, tight dresses, allot leg and and those tall feather hats- its all good. Anytime boobies appear on the sene, its good!

So the only band left for me to see, which won't happen before I leave is LoSo or Sek Loso. No matter as he will be touring the US soon again I we will catch him there. I will ned some TF Thai contacts to keep me posted on new albums over the next two years and concert dates in June 2006 when we return for T-O.
