Rom's spent £1m a day

ROMAN ABRAMOVICH has spent a huge £1.02million a day at Chelsea since taking over from Ken Bates in July 2003.

The Russian billionaire?s total investment in 670 days now stands at an amazing £683.4m.

Chief executive Peter Kenyon admits Red Rom is ready to spend again so that total is set to grow.

The amount Abramovich has already pumped into the Blues is staggering.

Not only did he spend £140m to buy the club from ex-owner Bates but he has shelled out £213m on transfer fees, £215m on wages and £115.4m on an interest-free loan.

If you believe the newspapers it's scary to imagine how good they will be next season if they buy Ashley Cole, Rio Ferdinand, Steven Gerrard and Adriano.

At least Abramovich has won something with thing money he has spent. I remember Keegan at Newcastle and O'leary at Leeds spending stupid amounts of money and winning nowt.

Another example as well is Blackburn. Millions were spent on them to win the title, next season they get relegated. I strongly doubt that will happen to Chelsea, that side is too good and Mourinho is the best coach in the world
