Just came back from a 3 week work stint in Tokyo. I was very disappointed. I've been to Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, etc and I was expecting Tokyo to be overwhelming. Truth be told...it was boring. I love high density cities like Hong Kong and Bangkok. Tokyo just seemed like a massive suburb. Anyway, after getting my head around spending 400 baht for every single beer anywhere in the city I began to realize how good I have it in Bangkok. Maybe I'll stick it out for a bit.
