Skii season is over here in Japan and that sucks. I really had a good time this year as I finally got the hang of it. The beginning of the season I spent most of the time sliding down on my backside lol. I didnt realize how much my body would hurt the next day, just shows me I had better get more excersize.

Anyone else on this board into snow sports?

The only drawback to snowboarding in Japan is the crowds, oh my God there are so many people!!

Anyone wanna come here next year?

Cheers!

Dont worry about the exercise...it still hurts if you are fit and healthy!! I havent done snowboarding on full on deep powder snow but we do get the light dusting in the UK. Try falling on the artifical stuff...that hurts like hell!! I am sure snow is a bit more forgiving!

Being in Bkk i miss that. I used to ride for a board shop back home but that was a long time ago...I might have to plan a trip to japan soon...just need to get hold of a board and some boots!

Come on Sarpedon! Board and boot rentals are reasonable here, the biggest expense will be just getting here hee hee.

Im gonna try the artificial snow this spring/summer as there are a couple of indoor skii parks not so far from my house. Just hope they arent so crowded (fat chance).

I would have thought there would be good snow, powder in the UK.

In the North you can get good snow but i am talking in Scotland. Other than the North you dont get that much snow usually.

I havent tried artifical snow but only the artifical slope which is the criss cross pattern of bristles (like on a broom) but much thicker and coarser...the worst thing is when you first fall on it you tend to grab onto the criss cross pattern to stop yourself falling...no no no...that only leads to broken/dislocated fingers or wrists...you just gotta slide with it and bruise your hip/lower back/ass!!

Snow looks much more fun!!
