Online music streaming and uploading place?

Hi,

many people here post videos thru youtube, the most popular service.

But my question is, is there any kind of service for uploading, sharing and streaming MUSIC? I have seen here on some ones blog entry about some 80's singer with only music streamed, but can't remember the name of the site... :? There has been videos posted thru that same service too...hmm

I am talking now about easy public sharing and streaming, not general data (image etc) hosting services or photo albums, but sharing for blogs and journals etc...

What I have noticed people using are for videos and pics:

www.tinypic.com (from the makers of photobucket, images and videos, I have found it a big buggy at times, but I use this)

www.youtube.com (videos)

That was fast! Thanks!! First impression: oh this is JUST free uploading/sharing place :-D BUT wait, "Video and Music Codes available now" news right on top of the page...:-) I must look into this!

I also found WebJay, but don't know will that work, they are very serious about the legality of the file sharing: "Only no record deal/indie label music playlists allowed"way...Hmm...AND what is worse, it seems that it does not offer file space but requires your music to be uploaded outside the service to other public file sharing places.

(I am not here looking ways to break law, just that I would like to have opportunity to share some music for my friends, not them to be downloaded, but just to stream...Well, complicated.)
